What to send first
- Rough room measurements or a sketch
- Whether you have already chosen units and worktops
- Any appliances or the sink you want moved
A kitchen refit with us usually starts with stripping out the old units, worktops and tiles, and checking the walls and floor underneath. Any patching or plastering is done before the new kitchen goes in. We then fit the units and worktops, tile the splashbacks and walls, and handle small plumbing changes such as moving the sink, connecting the washing machine or dishwasher, and moving or swapping a radiator.
Gas hobs and cookers need connecting by a Gas Safe registered engineer, as we do not do gas work. Two kitchens in our before-and-after gallery show the range: a white kitchen with black worktops, black tiles and a grey herringbone floor, and a sage kitchen with a wood worktop and the sink set beneath a stained-glass window. How long a refit takes depends on the size of the room and how much is changing.
