House Extensions in Lowestoft, From Groundwork to Finished Room

House extensions in Lowestoft and within 30 miles, built from the groundwork and foundations through to a plastered, finished room. We work from your plans or help you get started.

What to send first

  • The property address
  • Drawings or plans, if you have them
  • Whether planning permission has been applied for

We build house extensions across Lowestoft and within 30 miles. An extension is the biggest building job most homeowners take on, so it pays to plan it carefully. Many people extend to create a bigger kitchen or family room that opens onto the garden.

Before any work starts you will need drawings. Depending on the size, you will also need planning permission or confirmation that it falls under permitted development. Building regulations approval applies either way. If you already have an architect or plans, we work from them. If you are at an earlier stage, we can talk through what you want to achieve.

The build runs in stages. First come the groundwork and foundations, then the walls and roof until the new space is weathertight. Only then do we open up into the existing house, so your home stays secure and dry for as long as possible. Inside, the new room is plastered and finished, with any plumbing or radiators added as needed.

Every extension is different, so we price it once we have seen the property and your plans. To get started, send us the property address and any drawings you have. Tell us whether planning has been applied for, and add photos of the side of the house where it would go.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do I need planning permission for an extension?
Some smaller extensions fall under permitted development, while others need full planning permission. Building regulations approval applies either way, so check both before the work is booked.
Can you work from my architect's drawings?
Yes. Send them over with your enquiry and we will price the build from them.
When is the existing house opened up?
Near the end of the build, once the new room is weathertight, so the house stays secure and dry for as long as possible.
